With their romantic first meeting as a source of inspiration for their wedding decor, Julianne created the most blissful, romantic and cozy luxe winter wedding at the gorgeous Victoria Ballroom & Sunroom at the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise. The intimate affair included 30 of the couple’s closest family & friends and couldn’t have been more heartfelt. From the soft ivory fur chair covers imported from California, the bespoke day-of stationary with glittery stock & rhinestone adornments, to the ice-carved champagne flutes and falling snow during the couple’s first dance as man & wife, this wedding was not only heartfelt, but a feast for the eyes.
The surreal backdrop of the rockies were the highlight of their gorgeous ceremony held in the Victoria Ballroom. Flanking a draped focal point of soft chiffon were petite arrangements of florals in similar hues as the bridal bouquet, and the white chiavari chairs were cloaked in white fur caps emanating the thick blankets of snow packed on the spruce trees beyond the large floor-to-ceiling windows. The custom-made aisle runner with the couple’s family crest added the perfect personalized touch and was later used as the guest book.
For their wedding reception, the Sunroom was adorned with full, round centerpieces overflowing with orchids, roses, hydrangea and dusty miller by the talented Lyn of Flower Artistry. Held in sparkling crystal pedestals, the white florals perfectly contrasted the snowy landscape beyond the warmth of the room. Again, mirroring the landscape, the sparkling lace linens mimicked the sparkle of fresh fallen snow. The customized bar featured outstanding cocktails such as Moscow Mules with Mint Garnish, White Chocolate Peppermint Martinis with Crushed Peppermint & Marshmallow Rims and Candy Cane Coolers & Peppermint Candy Cane Sticks (shoutout to The Chateau Lake Louise catering team who outdid themselves). The incredible lighting, curtsey of Pez Productions Inc. illuminated the room with snowflake decals in a blue-toned glow. To cap the already magnificent day, and with Dean Martin’s “Let it Snow” playing in the background, the couple danced as gently falling artificial snow floated over them.
This wedding was a highlight of the year, and owed to the incredible team that made it so beautiful, thank you thank you, thank you!
