Talk about a love story… Fast forward exactly 13 years to the day, and that was the day this couple said their I Do’s to each other in beautiful Banff at the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel.
We started planning with Mylena & Jaret in May of 2019 for their summer mountain wedding in 2020… But of course, COVID had other plans. The world was taken by surprise and we all had to rethink, reimagine, and pivot… Not once, but twice! Mylena & Jaret were so absolutely considerate & kind throughout the many challenges, always keeping their guests top of mind as we helped them navigate the ever changing rules & restrictions. With restrictions slowly easing we planned for an intimate reception with their nearest & dearest, and as luck would have it, the 3rd wedding date we set with this couple turned out to be the exact day they met 13 years earlier… The ultimate silver lining to multiple emotionally draining postponements (if you know, you know…)
It was the first time restrictions in the area allowed us to gather and have a true wedding reception with cocktails, dinner, dancing since March 2020 and everyone was so happy to finally be together, the energy was palpable.
