We were married in September 2021, and by far the best decision we made for our wedding was hiring JYW! We started working with Julianne in 2019 for a September 2020 wedding. Of course that all changed due to world events, and even the weeks and days leading up to our rescheduled wedding were no better. The constantly changing rules and restrictions were extremely stressful and it wasn’t clear that we were going to be able to proceed just days before. Thankfully we had Julianne as our guiding light! Without her guidance and insight we very likely would have postponed our wedding again; and with a 110 person guest list and guests traveling from out of province and country it was chaotic, but Julianne helped us make all the right decisions. We were able to have the wedding we originally planned for in 2019 and it was honestly more beautiful than we imagined!

Julianne’s process is flawless, she asks the right questions to understand who you are and what you like and care about most. She nailed our design proposal on the first draft; she really listens to find out who you are and what’s most important to you. With Julianne also came her list of vendors, this was a great asset to our wedding. We did the Chianti Program with JYW which allowed us to remain hands on with most of the planning, selection of vendors and executing contracts directly with them. Each and every one of Julianne’s vendors delivered perfectly. I am an extremely detailed person and so is Julianne. We had full visibility of every part of our wedding and every last detail. There were no surprises (that weren’t intended) and she was able to act fast when things went astray. For example, our 5 tier wedding cake fell over during delivery to the Hotel and we had no idea! Our cake was there at the reception for our first look as it was intended to be, and it wasn’t until she told us that we knew. Amazing! Special thanks to Aimsley and Renee who joined Julianne for the day of execution. You delivered a perfect day! Julianne’s ability to create such a beautiful day is truly unique, she is a true professional and leader in her industry.

How do I even begin to explain all the reasons I would recommend Julianne Young Weddings? Simply put, Julianne and her team are absolute angels who blew our expectations out of the water.

I can honestly say that hiring Julianne as our planner was the best decision we could have made. We chose Julianne as our planner based on glowing reviews from our friends, who had a stunning and flawlessly executed wedding. From our first email and meeting with Julianne, we were so impressed. She is professional, warm, and organised. Julianne just *gets it,* ya know?

The planning of our wedding was complicated- we planned the wedding in only a few months from London UK, during the covid pandemic. The wedding was held at my grandparents’ cabin in Kananaskis Country, Alberta. The cabin is rustic, hard-to-find, and has literally no reception. In short, there was so much uncertainty and so many ways things could have gone wrong! But Julianne was by our side every step of the way; we never doubted she had everything under control. Julianne maintained a positive outlook while also being realistic with us about possible challenges related to the pandemic, our remote and rustic venue, and our budget.

Julianne, her team, and the vendors she selected executed an event that felt truly magical. When we arrived at the cabin on our wedding day and we saw how Julianne had brought the vision to life, I was truly speechless (and then burst into happy tears!). Julianne had brought to life dreams I didn’t even know I had! Throughout the day, Julianne and her team worked behind the scenes to ensure that every single moment went smoothly; we never had to worry about a thing.

In summary, I give Julianne Young my highest recommendation. She is truly exceptional at her job- her skills in communication, organisation, and creativity are top notch. But on top of that, Julianne is just a truly lovable human who you can’t help but want to spend time with!

Julianne Young and her team are incredible! I worked with Julianne on the design aspect of my wedding, and it turned out more beautifully than I could have imagined. We sat down with Julianne and she really took the time to get to know us and our vision for our wedding day. She is one of the sweetest people I’ve ever met, she is detailed, and she really does have a talent for this. Julianne takes the time to exchange ideas back and forth with you, will your feedback, and delivers a design that is just perfect. I personally probably changed a few things for my wedding day over a dozen times, and Julianne would always without fail, consider the design aspect I was unsure about and my budget, take my feedback, and replace it with something I was over the moon about! If we had to do it all over again we would 100% hire the team at JYW again and again and again. The entire team is absolutely amazing! They are so attentive to every detail, extremely professional and have that magic touch that made it easy for us to be able to relax and fully soak in our wedding day, without needing to worry about anything other than spending time with our family & friends. We have been a Newlywed couple since August 2019! Julianne Young Weddings (JYW) exceeded our expectations in what we sought in a Wedding Planner and Team. Julianne has extensive experience as a wedding planner and it shows in her extreme passion and commitment to making her couples’ wedding vision a dream come true.

We truly admire Julianne’s open personality and work ethic. Organization and communication is everything, which is reflected in her workspace, online management, and professional demeanor. At our initial consult, she took time to get to know us as a couple. With genuine interest, she listened to our love story and then asked us to discuss our wedding vision. She addressed our wants and needs with intent and great care. Julianne is not one to shy away from telling you her honest thoughts and opinions. This helped us so much, as we were able to discuss what we wanted and what we could realistically pull off for our wedding. Her capabilities are well-rounded, she presents facts, includes professional opinion of logistics, manages communication between multiple vendors, and provides ideas especially when our own hits a roadblock.

Julianne’s passion and commitment to providing the most superior service and her attention to details is unrivaled. This is evident in her handling of increasingly difficult challenges, professionalism, and adjusting to changes at a moments notice all while maintaining her composure. Aimsley’s emcee timeline was perfect as it included key announcements that we would have overlooked had we done this ourselves. Aimsley also made valuable suggestions on the logistics of how to manage an outfit change during a cultural performance.

Pre-Wedding Day: Julianne created a vision board and worked with vendors to produce the most amazing decoration/lighting display. She would check in with us to confirm that our visions are aligned prior to proceeding. Julianne’s vision board highlighted the strengths of our venue and completely showcased our wedding colors and theme. Julianne ensures progress by scheduling meetings. When help is requested, she makes herself available even beyond our scheduled time.

One moment we will always remember is how JYW took complete control and maintained their composure at our Rehearsal Ceremony. Our ceremony coordinators at our church were unfortunately not available, thus leaving us in a situation of disorganization and unanswered questions. Only the Priest and Wedding Party would be left to coordinate, but what truly helped were key family members and JYW. They immediately addressed issues, facilitated the Rehearsal Ceremony, found answers to our questions, and kept it professional throughout the whole experience as we had an extremely large group. Julianne and her team really helped focus our concerns.

On our wedding day, the Ceremony went flawlessly! During the Wedding Day: All vendors were adhering to the best of their abilities to the detailed timeline created and provided by JYW. The coordination between everyone went unnoticed because everyone was so prepared. This is what we believe showcased the high quality service and attentiveness to detail that JYW provides. One incident that happened at our reception was that a key item was missing from one of our programs. As it was being retrieved, Julianne helped calm our worries and reassured us that the time will work itself out. In times of stress, you need someone to help you re-focus on the bigger picture. Julianne was that person.

Post-Wedding Day: Julianne and her team took great care of all our valuables during and after the wedding from the guest book table, decorations, flowers, and other items we brought in. JYW delegated task to ensure our venue and vendors were working in tandem. Julianne’s teammate Sacha was even seen helping to take down decor items at the end of our event! Julianne, Aimsley and team were absolute professionals and such a pleasure to work with! They definitely live up to their perfect ratings and rave reviews, if not more so. This was one of our initial hires when we started the whole wedding process and we do not regret it at all. Julianne started off the initial meeting by asking us what we want our wedding to be like and what we hoped the feel should be. And, we stated that since we have been together for so long, it’s not really about us and more about our guests – to make them feel special as they each played an important role in our lives and for them to have a good time celebrating the day with us. This was accomplished… and more! The attention to detail and all the personal touches from start to end of the wedding was above and beyond what we imagined and hoped for. She incorporated our wants and wishes (e.g. chilled towels for guests on a hot day), as well as little personal touches (e.g. personalized menus, and illustrated signs with puns!). It was so nice to have both Julianne and Aimsley present during our wedding day. We were sure there were background fires that they had to put out on the day of, but, we never knew of them. Everything ran like a well oiled machine. And, they always carried themselves with grace, and always had our back (like making a plate of canapes while we took pictures so we wouldn’t miss out! =P). Julianne was so great to deal with from start to finish. She helped a great deal when we had a vendor issue. Julianne also worked with us to stay within our budget, while still making it look amazing. And last but not least, these gals are just super cool wonderful people to deal with! Don’t hesitate!
