Winner of the 2023 & 2018 Wedding Professional of the Year at the Canadian Event Industry Awards, Julianne Young is the founder of the company and one of Calgary’s – and Canada’s – most sought- after wedding planners. With more than a decade of experience, Julianne excels in producing large scale & beautifully designed weddings for couples around the world. She has been certified under the Wedding Planners Institute of Canada since 2008 and obtained a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Entrepreneurship.

Julianne is known for her timeless & elegant design style and an impeccable attention to detail, that when coupled with her background in floral design, makes her wedding designs unparalleled. Julianne’s energy and passion is contagious, and her love for her work is shown through her genuine desire to go above and beyond for her clients. Julianne is completely inspired by love; wedding planning is “her calling” in life.

Since launching the company in 2011, Julianne has nurtured a loyal network of vendors and an exceptional team of wedding and event professionals. Each member of the tight-knit Julianne Young Weddings team shares notable skill and unwavering dedication that comes from the heart. Renée Leonce

Wedding Producer

Renee joined the Julianne Young Weddings team with prior experience on the fashion side of weddings, having worked at a well respected bridal salon in Calgary. A graduate of the Bachelor of Business Administration program from Mount Royal University, Renee also completed our Wedding Planning Mentorship Program where it was obvious that producing complex & design-forward weddings was what she was meant to do. Renee is a keen listener with a passion for building relationships and planning beautiful & fun events, which makes her ability to bring to life a client’s vision a unique strength. Renee’s tenacity, bubbly personality, and dedication make her an asset to any couple looking to feel cared for on their wedding day.
Helena Huynh

Lead Decor Stylist

Helena completed the Event Management program at Mount Royal University in 2015, and joined the Julianne Young Weddings team in the summer of 2018. She quickly became an instrumental part of making our designs come to life while maintaining an effortlessly calm composure. With a wide range of experience in the events industry, Helena enjoys a change in pace from her full time role working in public health & project management to completely beautify our events and make sure each detail is carefully considered throughout execution. She will spot every wrinkle, straighten every candle, and has an eye for detail that leaves every event looking polished & pristine.
