The best news came over the weekend 👶🏼 Congratulations to this beautiful couple @jess.burton__ & @gburtonphysio on the arrival of their handsome little man Ryker 💙 These two Aussies were visiting Banff in 2019 and Grant had some sneaky little plans while they were here 💍 It was so special to be a part of this couples story! One of our favourite parts of this business is getting to know our couples and watching them grow beyond the proposal into a family. Much love you two and we hope to meet the little monkey one day!

Planning a summer/fall wedding and still not sure what to do with your invitations? // Five Rules of Thumb Below 📩

1. Keep numbers small

2. Tell guests the plan might need to change depending on restrictions in place at the time.

3. If things open up as you get closer to the date, expand the guest list once you know more! Scaling up is easier than scaling down (/un-inviting)

4. A website & online RSVP can be very useful for communicating changes in plans or protocols that your guests might need to know

5. For local guest lists, it’s okay to send out invites around 3 months out, and still get RSVPs no later than 1 month out.

This morning I had my first client meeting back from mat leave 🎉 It felt so good to be chatting with couples again and doing what I love. My clients and I spent the better part of an hour discussing the logistics for a tented wedding in a very remote & insanely cool lakefront location in the mountains, and went over backup plans for rain/snow, wind, COVID, you name it.... I love a solid backup plan. THESE are the things that excite me. Plus it’s always fun when bear spray is a part of my wedding emergency kit 🐻 Cannot wait for this wedding!

What 👏 do 👏 you 👏 stand 👏 for?! 👏 Lately I spend a lot/too much time on ClubHouse and was stopped dead in my tracks when someone asked this question to the audience... What do you stand for? I decided to take a minute and really think about it, and I wanted to share my thoughts here because it’s kind of a fun thing to answer...

It took me a sec because so many things have changed in our business in the last year! The pandemic has made us work harder, smarter, and safer than we ever have before. We have readjusted our sails and provided new services in order to meet the changing needs of our couples. Plus, with a new baby I wasn’t sure what going back to work would even look like for me and if things would change (**Spoiler alert, it didn’t, I still love my job just as much as I did 9 months ago.)

But, if I had to answer in one word what we stand for, one thing that never gets compromised at our company no matter what....

Q U A L I T Y // Of our work and of our people. Quality in the wedding planning experience that we are so proud to provide, and the final outcome. We simply cannot work on a project without giving it 110%. We are full tilt invested in our couples because it’s who we are. Attention to detail is who we are. Leading our business with grace and heart is who we are. That’s a guarantee.
