We were lucky to meet this couple a few years ago at another client’s wedding (shout out to Tor + Ry) where Rory was the MC. As a result of the pandemic, the couple was forced to “re-imagine” their Whistler wedding and we got a call from the beautiful Jules to help pivot their wedding plans to something a little more intimate. Only a few months out to the event, we packed our cars and headed out to her grandfathers quaint cabin on Lower Kananaskis Lake, where we re-assured their family that not only was their wedding possible here, but that it in fact would be a complete dream.
Okay – There were a few challenges in getting this event off the ground; The lack of cell service, remote mountain location, limited power and washrooms, and an overhead power line exactly where the tent was first envisioned… But also, the fact that Jules & Rory currently reside in London, England meant they had to place an immense amount of faith in our team.
We loved working with this effortlessly kind couple on bringing their wedding vision to life – With just 30 of their nearest and dearest, in what they love to call “Coziness, Contentment + Conviviality” – It as even printed on the guest’s menus with a fun terrazzo print, one of my favourite details. We cannot thank Jules + Ror, and their beautiful families (Mama Caro) enough – Working on this event was an honour & a dream to see pure happiness and love come together in such a magnificent setting.
