“Nouveau” Western Mountain Wedding

Where country meets elegance in a beautiful Rocky Mountain setting.

Amanda and Chris had strong western roots, being born and raised outside Calgary with ties to the founding fathers of the great Calgary Stampede.

As featured on the LOVE in the Rockies Blog.

The couple wanted a wedding that reflected their western style but also brought in elegant and classy details. This wedding was an absolute pleasure to plan not only because of the beautiful & fun couple we were helping (we miss you Amanda & Chris!) but also because it was just so one-of-a-kind.

For the groom, having a very bold and masculine style, we incorporated many “natural” elements such as deer, moose & elk antlers, a navajo pattern on the stationery, organic style cotton linens, and the use of foliage & greenery. To balance out the design with a touch of softness, we incorporated a few of the bride’s most favourite things including lush peonies & spray roses, glittery gold table linens, and a very lovely colour palette of pale peach, powder blue, sage and ivory. Together, the wedding represented perfectly the couple behind it, and became what we call the “nouveau” western wedding style.

Here are just a few of the lovely details from our amazing photographer Lori Loree. We would like to thank the following equally amazing team of vendors that came together and brought their A game!
